After completing their undergraduate studies, they then enroll in a formal training program, known as a residency, in veterinary dentistry. This residency is completed through the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC). In order to earn the title of a veterinary dental specialist, these vet dentists have many training requirements set by the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) that must be fulfilled.
