Charles Felz, DVM, DAVDC

Board Certified Veterinary Dentist® and Oral Surgeon

Originally from Colorado, Dr. Charles Felz has been immersed in veterinary medicine since he was just 14, starting his career as a kennel helper. After earning his veterinary degree in 2008, he began in mixed animal practice before completing an intensive small animal internship and additional residency training in anesthesia and pain management at Iowa State University.

Dr. Felz spent more than a decade in general practice, founding and managing several successful hospitals before following his passion for dentistry and oral surgery. His commitment led him to complete a veterinary dentistry and oral surgery residency and achieve board certification in 2024, an honor shared by fewer than 250 veterinarians worldwide.

He believes that nothing improves a pet’s quality of life faster than restoring a pain-free, healthy mouth. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Felz enjoys teaching veterinary dentistry, hiking, wildlife photography, and spending quality time with his two children.
